Projects Overview
Golden Dory’s primary focus is the acquisition and development of high quality gold projects in Nevada and in Newfoundland. The company's Huxter Lane-Brady gold project located in the mining friendly jurisdiction of Newfoundland & Labrador in eastern Canada has NI 43-101 compliant resources, including an indicated resource of 4.47 million tonnes averaging 0.526 g/t Au for 75,600 ounces gold, and an inferred resource of 32.9 million tonnes averaging 0.461 g/t Au for 488,800 ounces gold at a cutoff of 0.30 grams per tonne gold. Over 90% of the resource estimate occurs at depths shallower than 200 metres below surface. The project is targeting near surface, bulk tonnage gold mineralization similar to the Fort Knox gold deposit in Alaska which currently hosts reserves of 3.8 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 0.47 grams per tonne gold (Kinross Gold Website). Golden Dory has commissioned an update of the existing NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate to include the most recent round of drilling at Mosquito Hill as well as a first resource estimate for the adjoining Brady Project which will be completed in early fall 2010.
Golden Dory is earning a 70% interest from AuEx Ventures Inc., in two promising gold projects; Pequop South, in the rapidly emerging Pequop Gold District of northeast Nevada, and the Reef Project in the southern portion of the prolific Battle Mountain-Eureka trend. Pequop South is along strike from the rapidly developing Long Canyon gold project owned by Fronteer Development and AuEx Ventures Inc. The Pequop South property also happens to be contiguous with Agnico Eagle’s West Pequop property which is also under aggressive exploration. Golden Dory plans to complete a Phase 1 drill program at South Pequop in the fourth quarter 2010.
The Reef property lies approximately 3 miles south of Midway Gold’s Pan Project host to NI 43-101 resources of approximately 700,000 ounces gold. Due diligence rock sampling at the Black Horse prospect on the Reef project by Golden Dory returned up to 5.2 grams per tonne gold with 716 grams per tonne silver along with high (>20%) lead values. Golden Dory plans to complete additional sampling in the Black Horse area as well as a detailed magnetic survey prior to drilling later in 2010.
Golden Dory also has highly prospective lithium and rare metals properties in northwest Ontario (Jackpot and Root Lake), a bulk tonnage uranium project (Burin) as well as several early stage gold properties in Newfoundland.
